Mechanical diesel injection pumps rely entirely on internal gears, plungers, and springs to pressurize fuel and regulate engine speed via mechanical governors. Bosch supplies the P-Pump (inline pump used on Cummins 4BT/6BT and heavy industrial engines) and the VE-Pump (a compact, mechanical distributor-style rotary pump).
